

Susan Johanna (Armstrong) Koeppe, age 47, entered into Eternal Life May 13, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN after a short illness. Susan’s greatest joy was being an ever faithful, yet humble disciple of Christ, always on fire with her faith and love for God. Susan reflected the Lord’s so brightly she surely impacted many for the Kingdom of God and blessed us with her time, talents and treasures.
Susan, the second of eight children, was born July 13, 1963 to Gary and Margarete (Schweers) Armstrong in Wakefield, NE. Susan received Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ponca, NE. She graduated from Ponca High School in 1981 and received a Masters in Food Science with Distinction from UNL in 1987. She won a postgraduate Fulbright Scholarship to study in New Zealand for 12 months. Susan married her high school sweetheart, Todd Koeppe, August 10, 1985 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ponca, NE. They were blessed with four children: Clare Margarete, Ian Vaughn, Nate George and Aaron Paul.
Susan worked at Pizza Hut Corporate in Wichita, KS, ConAgra Foods in Omaha, NE, a blessed stay-at-home mom for ten years, and most recently a Quality Assurance Director at Marathon Ventures, Inc., Omaha, NE. Susan was an active member and volunteer at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Papillion, NE and long-time faithful member Regnum Christi. Susan was a dedicated wife and mother, daughter, sister and friend. She had a brilliant mind and loved to learn. Susan obtained a pilot’s license, was a chef-quality cook, an accomplished pianist, artist and gardener, as well as a self-proclaimed dark chocolate, coffee and beer snob.
Susan is survived by her beloved spouse, Todd, their beautiful children, Clare, Ian, Nate and Aaron all of Papillion; her parents, Gary and Margarete Armstrong, Ponca, NE; siblings, John (Kim) Armstrong, Colorado Springs, CO, Anne (David) Krause, Lincoln, NE, Patricia (Jeff) Reimers, Seward, NE, Amy (Rockey) McGinnis, Belle Fourche, SD, Gerald (Shay) Armstrong, Lincoln, NE and James (Amy) Armstrong, Omaha, NE. Father-in-law and mother in-law, Don and Doris Koeppe Ponca, NE; and Todd’s siblings, Tammy (Randy) Hegge, Dakota City, NE, Sheldon (Cyndi) Koeppe, Ponca, NE, Brett (Wendy) Koeppe, Allen, NE, Troy Koeppe and Joel Koeppe Ponca, NE; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her infant brother, Paul Gerald Armstrong, grandparents, Gerald and Frances Armstrong and George and Mathilde Schweers.
Visitation Wed. 1-4 PM at the Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, Papillion, NE,the family will receive friends from 6:30 PM -8:00 PM with a Wake Service at 7:30 PM all at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Papillion, NE
Mass of Christian Burial Thurs. 10:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Papillion, NE
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Omaha, NE
