Wanda was born on 19 November 1933 in Cleveland, OH and graduated from John Marshall High School. She attended Ohio Wesleyan and Bowling Green University but before graduating she married Jim Ronni on September 10, 1955 and started the life of a military spouse. Wanda and Jim then spent the next 20+ years moving for his career with the Navy and growing their family of three daughters at the same time. Their final move brought them to Offutt Air Force Base near Bellevue which would be where they ultimately put down roots, their final move.
Wanda was a 50-year member of Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and was active for years with the Bellevue Job’s Daughters Bethel as her daughters were all members. She worked many years as a media aide in the Bellevue school system and retired from there in 1996. In the 1980s Wanda would start up her college studies again, this time at Bellevue University, and graduated with her liberal arts degree. During her years in Bellevue she stayed involved in many organizations including the Bellevue Artists Association and the Sarpy County Museum. She had interests in many activities and hobbies to include painting and arts, doll collecting, and ebay auctions. Mostly, though, she was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother to all.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents James and Stella Tyjeski, brother Ed Stevens, in-laws Toivo and Rose Ronni, and son-in-law Warren Merlino.
