Catherine Yvonne Wims, 69, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 18, 2023, surrounded by her family. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26th at Talco Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Saturday, March 25th from 5 – 7 p.m. She was born Feb. 2, 1954, in Abilene, TX, the daughter of David Augustus Wims and Marguerite Derryberry Wims. Catherine was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Her parents and a great nephew, Rowan Mayes, preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, David A. Wims, Jr. (Anna), sister, Patricia A. Butler, nephews, John Wims (Nicole) and Daniel Wims (Audreena), a niece, Angie Alexander (Blake) along with great nieces & nephews, John Tyler Wims, Lois Wims, James David Alexander, Alina Alexander, Willow Wims, and Irelan Mayes, a host of friends and her beloved dog, Browneyes.
