Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 5th at Long Cemetery with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating.
Mrs. Griffin, the daughter of Tillman Arthur Hopkins & Ferne Katherine Ammon Hopkins, was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Ft. Riley, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Trema Griffin, a daughter, Karen Griffin, two grandsons, Kevin Griffin and Jason Griffin, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Griffin, and a brother, Robert Hopkins.
Ellen & Trema made their home in Bakersfield, CA, where she worked for Kern County at several psychiatric hospitals. In 1972, when Trema retired, they moved to Pattonville, TX. Ellen was a member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Deport.
Survivors include four sons, Sam Griffin & wife Rita, Steven Griffin, Ron Griffin & wife Carole, and Greg Griffin & wife Gladys, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.
