Eva D Stanphill

Bright-Holland Funeral Home will make private burial at Boxelder Cemetery in Red River County. A memorial service may follow at a later date.

She was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Annona, TX to Fleta Joiner Gaines and Dale Gaines, of Red River County. She married James A. Stanphill in Aug. of 1953. Eva attended Paris Junior College for her nursing degree in the 60’s. She was employed at L. P. McCuiston Regional Medical Center as an RN until 1980 at which time she became school nurse for PISD.

Eva is survived by one son, Joe A. Stanphill & wife Bobbie, three grandchildren, Robert Stanphill & wife Megan, Alivia Sikes & husband Coby, and Eli Stanphill & wife Abby, three great grandchildren, Carson, Parker, & Khaleesi Stanphill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James A. Stanphill, and three brothers, Mike Gaines, Kenneth Gaines, and Pratt Gaines.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Omer South and Regina Gaines for always checking on Eva. Dr. Alois Pauls, Signature Home Health and the staff of Colonial Lodge for the care given to their loved one. May the Lord richly bless you all.
