

Jimmy Satcher, 71, of Reno, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014. Memorial services, with Masonic Rites, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Jimmy, the son of Edward & Doris Burton Satcher, was born February 20, 1943, in Lamar County. He was a truck driver for ten years with Gulf Oil in Ft. Worth. Upon returning to Lamar County in 1976, he drove a truck until starting his dairy in 1981. He & Kay operated the dairy until 1987. While operating the dairy he was a delegate for the Associated Milk Producers. Jimmy loved riding his Harley-Davidson and was a member of the Harley owners group. He was a member of Paris Masonic Lodge #27 and attended The Cowboy Church. Survivors include his wife, Kay Clay Satcher, whom he married on March 6, 1964, building 50 years of family and memories, two daughters, Missy DeGoede & husband Andrew of Stratford, WI and Gina Satcher of Paris, three grandchildren, Clay DeGoede, Elle Mendelson and Adam Mendelson, several nieces, nephews and cousins along with many friends including a special friend, Dale Briggle, of Paris.
