Joe Thomas Offutt

Joe Thomas Offutt, 76, of Pattonville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Medical Center of Plano. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Tuggle Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Offutt, the son of Edward & Edith Landreth Offutt, was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Red River County. His career at Earthgrains spanned 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and cattle ranching. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tina. Survivors include his wife, Martha Houston Offutt, three sons, Randy Offutt & wife Sherry of Paris, Joe Offutt & Paula of Kingston, OK and David Offutt & wife Cathleen of Grand Prairie, four step-children, Martha Ann Graves of Waco, Paulette Hessel & husband Rick of Waco, Thomas Jesseph & wife Connie of Meridian and Jimmy Day & wife Gloria of Jordanton, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Marx Offutt of Paris, two sisters, Betty Ervin of Clarksville and Janie Offutt of California along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. His grandsons will serve as casket bearers.
