Kerry Murdock was born in Salmon Idaho on February 24th,1959. He grew up enjoying life in
South Texas and Idaho and then returned to Texas 31 years ago.
He worked hard to provide for his family by working on the family ranch and power washing. He
was involved with his children's activities and education. He was a good man, incredible role
model, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing,
working on cars, and playing dominoes. He was an active and devoted member of The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a two-year mission for the church in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also served as the Bishop in the Paris Ward congregation for
four and one half years. He found great joy in loving and serving his fellow men and sharing his
testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his Father Lorin Murdock, brother Lorin Lee Murdock, and
granddaughter Lydia Grace Murdock
Kerry is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 39 years, Sandra Whitworth Murdock, his twelve
children: Aaron (Natalie) Murdock, Bryan (Meredith) Murdock, Rachel (Matt) Brandt, Rebecca
(Chris) Cooper, Sarah (Aaron) Barnard, Wesley Murdock, Lindsey (Scott) Terry, David (Lauren)
Murdock, Matthew Murdock, Mark Murdock, Hannah Murdock, Dalin Murdock, and twenty-one
grandchildren and his twenty-second due in November. His mother Dorothy Hutto Murdock, his
sisters Cherie Murdock and Kelly (Jody) Wilson.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3060 Pine Mill Rd, Paris Texas 75460, with a visitation for family
and friends from 1:00 P.M. until the service begins. Internment, under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home, will be made at Highland Cemetery in Deport,
Texas following the funeral service.
