Tommy Wayne Mitchell

Tommy Wayne Mitchell, 78, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at his home.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Conatser officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial, with military honors, is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 29th at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Tommy, the son of Wayne & Cladis Mitchell, was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Post Oak, Texas.

He served in the United States Navy from March 10, 1964 until Jan. 9, 1968, being honorably discharged with the rank of EN2.

Tommy had owned and operated two C.B. shops and worked in electrical maintenance at The Campbell Soup Company.

He was a member of the Northeast Texas Biker’s Church.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Mitchell, two children, John Mitchell & wife Sharon and Tiffany McCrary, a granddaughter, Amanda Brewer, step children, Jeff Henexson & wife Cindy and their three children, and Gaylene Baumgartner & husband Danny and their two children, and a sister, Mary Mitchell Rhoades, along with several nieces & nephews including Shawonna Rhoades and Steve Landers and a host of friends.
