Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws; his brother; and his beloved wife, Theresa.
He is survived by his loving children, Brittany (Giovanni) and Brandon (Marissa), and his eight cherished grandchildren: Gavin, Isaac, Isaiah, Gabe, Aiden, Ariana, Audrey, and Kaleb, who were the light of his life.
Dan dedicated over 30 years of service to APS and devoted much of his life to serving his community as a firefighter. He began his firefighting career at a young age with the Copiague Fire Department in New York. After moving to Arizona in 1978, he continued his lifelong passion for firefighting by joining the Buckskin Fire Department in the early 90’s, serving as an on-call firefighter for many years.
He never knew a stranger and was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. He loved anything related to firefighting, enjoyed camping—especially in the Hualapai Mountains—cheered faithfully for the Arizona Cardinals, and treasured time spent with his family above all else.
Dan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of service, loyalty, and love lives on through his family and the many lives he touched.
