

He spent many years farming for his family, The Navajo Nation, and The White Mountain Apache Tribe and also worked as farmhand for Harold and Victoria McGuire and McGuire Custom Hay. He also worked the family business, Lazy 7 Bar Club in Vidal, CA and Lazy 7 Restaurant/Gas Station and Convenience Market in Earp, CA. Dempsey had several jobs and was on several committees with C.R.I.T. His favorite years were those as the Entertainment Director of the Blue Water Resort and Casino.
Dempsey was preceded in death by both his parents Bob Dean Holt and Mary Margaret Holt and also his brother Erwin Lee Holt.
Dempsey is survived by his wife Anne, his daughter Susan (Jeston) Lotts, his son Steven (Jennifer) Holt, his brother Bobby (Darci) Holt, his brother Anthony (Susan) Holt, his sister Tina Holt, his grandchildren Taylor, Aubrey, Avery, Payton, Tucker, Dempsey II, Charlie, Cash and his nieces Tedri and Jessica and nephews Rick and Jarrod.
Dempsey was a historian. He was a problem solver. He was the "go to" guy to get the job done. Dempsey loved wood working, all sports especially the Dodgers and the Cowboys and most of all his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
