

John Clifford "Cliffy" Drum a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dedicated public servant passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones on May 11, 2025 at the age of 82. John was born in Long beach, California and raised in Venezuela where he became fluent in spanish.
John shared 64 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife Bunsy Drum. John is survived by their four children Brian, Wendie, Kellie and Jamie. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren Tara, Kayla Dalton, Holden, Kasey and Hannah and also with his nine great grandchildren Michael Chance, Pacen†, Abbygail, Layne, Johnny, Emarie, Paisley, Evelyn and Lincoln.
John proudly served in the United States Army which then led him to becoming an LAPD officer and a dedicated public servant. After his LAPD career he relocated his family to Parker, Arizona and become a bartender. When in Parker he decided to take the position of Magistrate Judge which then led to Justice of the peace, County Supervisor and furthering retiring as the La Paz County Sheriff. John dedicated 39 years of his life serving and protecting others with honor and integrity.
An outdoorsman at heart John loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Always known for his professionalism, warmth, humor and his unwavering dedication to his family, friends and community.
Please take a moment to remember John today and hold his family in your hearts. A truly remarkable man who was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will be planning a celebration of life for John in the Fall of 2025 in Parker, Arizona.
