Petra Lopez Garcia Utley

She was born May 18, 1965, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Tomasa Garcia.

As a young child, she moved with her family to Ehrenberg, Arizona. She learned the value of hard work while working with her family in the agricultural industry.She gave birth to Jesse Herrera in 1981. She worked at the Flying J restaurant for many years, and met her husband at that time and they later moved to St. George, Utah where she worked at Dixie College. She loved St. George and had many wonderful friends there.

On July 1, 2000, she married Christian Utley. In 2001, they moved to Idaho Falls. That August, they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Jasmine “Jazzy Bear” and she is the light of their life. Petra had recently been employed with School District 91.

Petra enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing, camping, gardening, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a proud grandmother and loved her only granddaughter, Alex, dearly.

She was happiest when around her family having countless uncles, aunts, and cousins who were near and dear to her heart.

Grandmother: Belen Garcia, Ehrenburg, AZ

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tomasa Garcia Arnold.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. and the service will be at 12:00 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Parker Town Cemetery in Parker, Arizona.
