Darrell Lloyd Thompson, 70, of Elizabeth, WV passed away November 8, 2011 at home following a long battle with cancer.
He was born October 28, 1941 in Jackson County, WV a son of the late William and Vera L. Seals Thompson. He was a member of the Painters Union.
He is survived by two sons, David L. (Terri) Thompson of Red Bluff, CA and Kevin Thompson of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Nicki (Paul) Batten of Elizabeth WV and Traci D. Thompson of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence Thompson, of Elizabeth, WV, Harlin (Betty) Thompson, of Belleville, Kenneth (Janet) Thompson of Mineral Wells, and William H. Thompson, Jr. also of Elizabeth; two sisters, Belinda (David) Deem of Grandview, Ill and Wanda (Brian) Caltrider of Mineral Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Dale Thompson; and one brother, Robert Thompson.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
