Erma Lea Stout

Erma Stout, 83, of Parkersburg, WV died April 14, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born in Braxton County on November 18th, 1930, the daughter of Warder W. and Eola Mae Gerwig. She was a Christian and a member of Southside Southern Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Charles Stout, two brothers and three sisters, one niece and one nephew.

Erma loved her family, her friends and her church, good books and good music. She especially enjoyed her three grandchildren.

Erma had two special joys in life that she took with her wherever she lived. She loved teaching children’s Sunday school classes and taught for a period of 32 years. She also enjoyed being a hospital volunteer for 35 years and was currently a volunteer at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 133 for over 50 years.

She is survived by daughter Pamela (Mike) Crutchfield of Fairmont, WV and son Stephen (Linda) Stout of Wiley, Texas. Three grandchildren, Lindsy Crutchfield of Alexandra, VA, Caitlin Crutchfield of Fairmont, WV and Mitchel Crutchfield of Fairmont. Special sister-in-law Marlene Miller of Melbourne, Florida, three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens on Wednesday, April 16th, at 1:00pm with Reverend Don Yeager and Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 15th.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Southside Southern Baptist Church Building Fund, 2004 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
