Ernest "Harold" Kesterson

Harold was born January 24, 1931 in Washington, WV to Marshall and Ava Oma {Curry} Kesterson.

He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1949. Harold served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was honorable discharged in 1954.

Harold married Eileen Godleman on October 4, 1952. He worked for Dupont for 39 years and retired in 1993. Harold was a former member of the Lions Club. He loved motorcycles, his truck and special dog Muffin. Harold enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Eileen of 65 years; children Maureen (Lee) Sylvester of Washington, Dwayne (Anita) Kesterson of Davisville, WV and Todd (Gail) Kesterson of Washington, WV; grandchildren Jason (Heather) Sylvester, Jessica (Ryan) Cochran, Jenni (Danny) Smicker, Travis (Jessica) Kesterson, Justin (Shalene) Kesterson, Megan (Josh) Knotts, Brandon (Christine) Kesterson ; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Sylvester, Brayden Sylvester, Drew and Brody Cochran, Lexi Delaney, Benson and Kason Smicker, Kinsley and Kara Kesterson, Carson and Case Knotts, baby Caroline on the way, Indie and Myles Kesterson; brother William Kesterson of Washington and sister Glenda Lee (Carl) Tucker of Washington.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Betty.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Morgan officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
