Eugene was born April 23, 1929 in Jackson County, WV to Reuden R. and Mellie Ann Sparr.
He was a MSG in the US Army during the Korean War.
Eugene married Glenna Thomas on November 15, 1950.
He was a Supervisor for Dupont for 34 years and retired in 1989
Eugene enjoyed fishing and helping people fix broken things around their homes.
He loved spending time drinking coffee watching the sun rise over the lake.
Eugene will be deeply missed by his wife Maxine of 66 years,
Survived by wife Maxine, son Mark, wife Edith , and grand daughter Stacy Pickens of Huntsville, AL, and sister Leona Reuter.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Denzel Ray officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
