Gregory Frederick Bogard

Gregory F. Bogard, 62, passed away on March 20, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Campus in Parkersburg, WV.

He was born November 15th, 1951 in Parkersburg, WV, a son to the late Ernest L. Bogard and Vivian Bogard.

Gregory was a member of the Lubeck Church of Christ. He was the owner of Greg Bogard Photography, and a teacher at Blennerhassett Jr. High School, Union Educational Complex and Geary School.

He was also the former President of the West Virginia Professional Photographers Association, a life member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and a Hunter Safety Instructor.

Gregory loved his band, chorus and general music students. He considered them as “his kids.”

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Sadler) Bogard, a son Matthew C. (Zori) Bogard, and daughter Lisa E. (Lee) Bogard Moore. Also Gregory leaves behind three (3) grandsons; Lucas, Nathan and Caleb Moore whom were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23rd with visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm, and again at 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Hundred, WV. Dave Newberry\Steve Fuchs will be officiating over the services. Memorial donations may be made to Ohio Valley University in Gregory’s memory because Christian education meant so much to him.
