He was born Sept. 18, 1941 in Wood Co., a son to the late Virgil and Ruth Whited. He worked for many years as an end loader operator in the asphalt industry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Whited.
He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 54 years, Carolyn Whited, son, James E. Whited II of Parkersburg, daughters, Jamie F. Graham (Butch) of Parkersburg, Kaiya L.Cunningham (Kenny) of Parkersburg, and Tammy K. Salyers of Parkersburg, Gary Salyers of Parkersburg, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers, Roy Whited (Jackie) and Paul Whited (Dottie) both of Parkersburg, sisters, Ruthie Evans (Mike) of Parkersburg, and Marie Walker (Ira) of Belpre, OH, and his rescue dog, Bandit, along with many other extended family and friends.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
