Jessie Lucille Moyer

She was born on June 9, 1928 in Clarksburg, WV. She met the love of her life, Cecil J. Moyer in a soda shop where she worked after WWII. They moved to Parkersburg where Cecil found work. Jessie worked for Dudley’s Floral Shop for 10 years. She was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church for 69 years. She loved her Lord. She enjoyed baking, boating in her younger years and spending time with her family.

They had two children, Janis (Bob) Lynch, John (Shirley) Moyer and a nephew, Steve (Peggy) Harrah who was just like a son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil and their son, John. Along with her daughter Janis and daughter-in-law Shirley, she is survived by her grandchildren; Bryan (Sharmine) Lynch, Christie Lynch, Cathy (Jay) Golden, Stacey (Chris) White, Ashley (Mike) Cayton and Elaina Harrah; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be, 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Chris Paff officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends and will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
