She was born August 26, 1954 in Parkersburg, WV to Herman and Betty Koon.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Kathy loved being with her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her two sons, Michael (Theresa) Wiggins of Fort Walton Beach, FL. and Jason (Jennifer) Valentine of Vienna, grandchildren Tori and Jacob Valentine and Amber Bills, brothers Wayne, Paul and Doug Koon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dwight Matlack of 30 years.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. with Pastor Todd Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Online tributes may be made to www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
