Luther E. Davidson, 92, of Washington, WV, passed away May 29, 2018. He was born March 10, 1926, a son of the late Emmett and Blanche (Deckard) Davidson of Gallipolis, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Charles Ward and David Ward.
Mr. Davidson was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He retired from Flowers Bakeries in 1983 after 34 years as branch manager. He then retired from Contract Mail Company in 1993 and once again retired from the Butcher Family Farm in 2008 at the age of 82.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lois Davidson; son Frank Davidson (Doris) of Myrtle Beach, SC; step sons Donald Ward of Logan, OH, David McCrady of New Port Ritchey, FL; daughters Lynn Williams of Vienna, Kathy Lowers of Tucson, AZ and 12 grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg with Military Rites provided by the American Legion Post #15, Parkersburg.
