Ralph Eugene Richards

He was born September 3, 1952 in Akron, OH, a son of the late Raymond Richards Sr. and Mildred Redman.

Ralph was a talented mechanic, who in his spare time enjoyed working on and restoring cars. He was employed as a truck driver and mechanic for Atlas Truck & Trailer. He was a skilled craftsman and did wood working around his home. He enjoyed fixing things. Ralph could fix anything. He loved animals and had many pets in his lifetime. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them very much. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Shean Richards; daughters, Renae (Ryan) Reid, Stephanie (Mike) Sprouse; brothers, Lewis Redman; sisters, Debbie Boyd, Missy Richards, Diane; foster brothers, Dave, Ed; grandchildren, Elliana, Jeremy, Dani; niece and nephews, Felicia, Peggy, Lil Ray, Dale; his faithful companion, Bo; several great nieces and many more loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his his wife, Beverly Shultz Richards; brothers, Earl Redman, Raymond Richards Jr., Danny Wamack; sister, Norma Green; foster parents, Edra and Dennis.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday March 7, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4 P.M to 7 P.M. Thursday March 6, 2025 and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special “THANKS” to Amedysis Hospice, especially his favorite nurse Josh and caregiver, Donna.
