He was born April 26, 1941, in Richwood, a son to the late Elza and Wavie Meadows. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 32 years of service and was a member of USWA Local 5668. He attended Gospel Tabernacle Church, loved to play music, and buy and trade cars. He was a handyman that would tackle nearly any task.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Meadows, brother, Ed Meadows, and sister, Jelia Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Meadows, son, Bob Meadows (Julie) of Williamstown, daughter, Debra Shears (Greg) of Rockport, sisters, Irene Dean (Jim) of Ravenswood, Rae Dean of Ravenswood, Shirley Goudy (Bob) of Uniontown, PA, and Lorena Miller of OH, grandchildren, Nikki McKaughan (Tim), Carrie Flinn, Corey Meadows, and Nick Meadows, great granddaughter, Madison McKaughan, along with many other extended family and friends.
Service will be Monday, January 13, 2014, 1 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday prior to the service from 11am til 1 pm at the funeral home.
