Sylvia Munching

She was born October 1, 1960 a daughter of Priscilla Sergeant Wolf and the late John McKeever Wolf, in Rochester, Pennsylvania.

Sylvia grew up in Clarksburg, WV and attended Washington Irving High School, class of 1978. She moved to many states around the country, including Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina and 25 years ago settled at home in Parkersburg, WV.

She most recently worked as an Independent Title Abstractor for the Oil and Gas industry. She was a Christian by faith. She loved spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren. Her true passion was designing floral arrangements for family and friends. If someone needed flowers, she was always there. She could design bows, crafts, loved planning parties, and taking care of everyone. She was an excellent gift giver, and always thought of everyone before herself. She also loved cats and had many over the years.

Sylvia loved spending her Sundays watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play, win or lose, they were her team.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her mom, Priscilla Wolf; daughter, Christina Greene (Jimmy); sons: Aaron "A.J." Munching, Jr. (Paige), Matthew Munching; twin brother, John Michael Wolf (Tammy); and grandchildren, Kylea, Bryar, Loralye, Oliver, Saylor, Maddyn, and Hazel.

In addition to her dad, Sylvia was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Kevin Wolf.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service form 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
