Tara Jo Cox passed away on the morning of February 27, 2026 after a two-and-a-half year battle with ovarian cancer. She faced every step of this journey with strength, courage, and grace that words can barely capture.
She was born November 21, 1979 in Tacoma, Washington, a daughter to Teresa Aston Bullock and the late Randy Bullock.
Tara was devoted to her family and a great friend to many. She carried a sweet, gentle soul, and anyone who knew her could feel the kindness she brought into every room.
She was a MarketPlace Manager at Woodcraft. She found great joy in getting lost in a good book, playing video games, and expressing her creativity through art, painting, and drawing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cherished the comfort of being at home, and especially enjoyed baking for those she loved.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 25 years, Chris Cox; son, Jace Cox; Adriana Cox; brothers, Matt Mills, Eli Mills, Evan Bullock; sister, Kirstie Hakanson.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Randi Bullock.
Per Tara’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Marietta Memorial Hospital 4-North team for helping Tara during her courageous battle.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Memorial Health System PO Box 112 Marietta, OH 45750 in honor of Tara Cox.
