

She was born May 3, 1938, in Reedy, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Guy and Honor Staats Chancey.
Violet graduated from Spencer High School in 1956. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for about 20 years. Violet retired from O’Ames, and enjoyed reading, crafting, and singing.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Clement Farley; son, Bobby Edward Hundley; daughters, Kimberly Kay McPeek, Donna Renee Rininger (Bruce), and Shelley Marie Cheuvront (Deric); grandchildren, Christy Barnhart (John), Nicole Albert (Alex), Jacqueline Life (Brian Crock), Jason Rininger, Breanna Agee (Bradley), Kyle Rininger (Casey York), Trenton Cheuvront, and Ainsley Abruzzino (Kolby); and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Violet is preceded in death by her brothers, Hildreth Chancey, Arlin Chancey, Edsel Chancey; and sister, Sandra Riel.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, and one hour prior to the funeral service, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
