She was born March 16, 1928 in Putnam Co., daughter to the late Orin H. Jeffers and Opal C. Reynolds.
Wanda was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church, graduated Winfield Highschool, and retired from Ralph’s Market in Parkersburg.
She is survived by one daughter and spouse Joyce & Mike Lorentz of Belpre, OH; three sons and their spouses, Barry & Mary Bird of Wichita, KS, Dennis & Sharon Bird of Upper Chichester, PA, and Gregory & Georgeanna Bird of Parkersburg, WV; one brother and spouse James C. & Jean Jeffers of Crosslanes; two sisters Wilda Campbell of Charleston, WV and Aumothea Templeton and husband Ray of St. Albans, WV; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer L. Bird and brother Hillary O. Jeffers of Warren, OH.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 19, at Fairlawn Baptist Church at 2pm with visitation two hours prior 12-2pm with Gregory Varndel officiating.
