It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father.
Abe worked for 35 years as a lumber grader at Somass Division. His great joys were fishing, smoking fish, curling and gardening.
Abe is survived by his son Bert (Sandi) Casavant, his baby girl Tooie (Randy) Casavant, his canine buddy, Scooter, his dear “partner” Nener, his grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Abe lived his 88 years to the fullest and will leave a large void in many hearts.
At Abe’s request, there will be no funeral. His remains will be scattered by his children at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation in Abe’s name be made to either the Port Alberni SPCA, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 293.
