It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryce James Mack in the comfort of his home. A loving husband, devoted father, papa, and a well-known resident of various communities. Bryce leaves behind his wife Beaner, children Miller, Quinn, Morgan, and Paul, and grandchildren, Rylan and Peyton.
Born in Vancouver General Hospital raised in Burnaby, an only child to Violet and Jack Mack, and brother to half sister Shirley Hall.
Bryce and Beaner started their lives together in White rock, where he owned and managed Minute Muffler in Richmond. Later on continuing his love and fascination for cars as a hobby that grew into Classic Auto Restoration. Opening his own business “The Helping Hand Handyman” continued his career which he brought to Vancouver Island.
In 2006, the Mack family made the journey to Vancouver Island, where over the course of 18 years, they lived in Nanoose Bay and surrounding areas.
While living in Nanoose Bay Bryce supported his community by being a member of the Nanoose Bay Volunteer Fire Department. Life on the farm had its many adventures. Which gave way to much time spent at the Vancouver Island Heritage Livestock. Bryce was raised a city man but was slowly turned country by his wife. She showed him the wild side - overgrown, natural and beautiful.
Although he suffered various medical conditions over the last 7 years his health took an unexpected turn - he lost his valiant fight with cancer on March 25th, surrounded by his family.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses from various offices in the Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo area and at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital.
Once described as “a great guy to take to a party”. Please join us for Bryce’s last one at Shelly Hall Centre 186 Shelly Road Parksville. Please RSVP to 250-468-5858 or [email protected]
