Early Saturday morning, January 19, 2013, Cathy peacefully gave up her battle with cancer. She was filled with joy and excitement to finally be reuniting with her soul mate, best friend and husband of 21 years. To those gathered by her bedside, it was as if God was opening the gates to Heaven and welcoming Cathy with open arms.
Highly respected for her positivity, dedication to family, and business mind. Cathy successfully managed many properties, raised two grateful children and always put others before herself. Her light shines bright in the hearts of those who know the strength of her divine faith. Cathy’s courage and strength throughout this fight will never be forgotten.
Cathy’s bright smile will be missed by so many: Her two loving daughters Stephanie and Anna, along with her brother Ken Graham and Sister Kari Simpson. Cathy’s Dad Larry Aguilar, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and so many other family and friends.
A very special thank you to Dr. Fletcher, the staff of the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria and the other excellent and caring health care professionals in Qualicum Beach. Not to mention numerous friends and family, for all their support, prayers and loving care.
On Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2 pm a service celebrating and honoring Cathy’s life will be held at Parksville Baptist Church, 550 PYM Street in Parksville, BC with Pastor Paul Hawkes will officiate with a reception to follow.
Interment will be held in Qualicum Beach shortly before the service on January 27, 2013 for the family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oceanside Health Centre.
