

David James Mott passed away peacefully on June 25th, 2024, at age 90 with his wife at his side. David will be fondly remembered and forever loved by his surviving wife of 62 years, Constance Margaret, his sons James Alwin (61), Brian David (60) and Stephen Thomas (56), their wives Susan, Kristen and Shannon, and his grandchildren Aslan, Courtney, Dylan, Alana, Sophie and Jack.
David was born in Montreal on April 15, 1934 and worked his way up the ladder to become an investment professional, then practicing for more than 30 years. David later moved on to Toronto for work and then after his retirement, to Parksville, B.C. to be closer to his family. Growing up David was a hockey player (runner up Quebec provincial champions at the old Montreal Forum), fast pitch softball player and then avid golfer, with 4 registered hole-in-ones after he retired. He also enjoyed many summer’s at the family cottage on Lake MacDonald, Quebec. David will be reuniting with his dear mother (Gertrude), siblings Barrie, Bob and Marilyn, and his own dad, John Alwin Mott whom he lost when only 9 years old. David will be truly missed by his family and friends!
