She spent many years living in Port Alberni before settling in Qualicum Bay, where she lived for about 50 years. Qualicum Bay truly became her home.
Denise was predeceased by her parents, Engelbert and Adele; her ex-husband Floyd Kirkpatrick; her daughter, Jeanette Fortin; her granddaughter, Tina Holzwarth (Kirkpatrick); and nine siblings, too many to mention.
She is lovingly remembered by her partner Art Limber; her son Gerry(Connie); her daughters Elaine (Lynn) and Sheila (Park); her son-in-law Phillip Fortin; sister Marcie Gaw as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In her younger years, Denise worked on the farm. She loved bowling, socializing, and was truly the life of the party. Denise was also a dedicated Avon representative for over 50 years and took great pride in the relationships she built along the way.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
