

She is predeceased by her parents Herbert and Eileen Pruden.
Survived by her loving husband of 49 years Eric, her children Robin (Ryan) of Ottawa Ontario, Lindsay (Paul) of Canmore, Alberta, her wonderful dog Molly, sister Fay of Almonte , Ontario, brother John (Margaret) of Hamilton, Ontario, sister in-law Elen, nephews Stuart, Gerry and Mark, nieces Alicia, Debi and Rhonda and cousin Ray.
Enid’s childhood was spent in her hometown Almonte, Ontario with early years homeschooling and studying ballet and music. She entered the University of Guelph at age sixteen and graduated with an English major. Upon graduation Enid’s first job was in the insurance industry which became her lifelong vocation.
In her early 20s Enid developed a passion for the mountains and, together with husband Eric, embarked on numerous backcountry adventures – hiking, backpacking, and canoeing in the Canadian Rockies and Alaska.
Moving with Eric to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1980s, Enid raised her beloved daughters, Robin and Lindsay, while maintaining her career. She instilled her love of adventure with the girls and the family embarked on many outdoor expeditions together as well as urban vacations to the UK, Paris, Hong Kong and China.
After moving back to Canada upon retirement in 2016 splitting time between residences in Canmore, Alberta and Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island, Enid spent her later years enjoying reading, music, gardening, and the camaraderie of her many friends and relatives. Her love of books has been passed along to her girls.
Special mention must be made of Enid’s 4-legged children, past (Riley and Kitty) and present (Molly).
Enid passed away peacefully at home in Nanoose Bay with her family. Her final resting place will be her cherished Canmore.
