He worked as a co-pilot in northern Canada for a few years, but eventually found his way to computers where he was top salesman for Wang, then co-founded Concord Computers, selling software services to professionals in Calgary. He later moved to Vancouver, then Victoria, where he married and his daughter was born, and finally settled in Parksville.
Ewen is survived by his daughter, Alexandra and his grandchildren, Avalina, Audrey and Emerson of Nanaimo. He is also survived by his brother, Don of Sherwood Park, his brother Warren (Katie) and nieces Katherine and Tawna of Edmonton. Ewen was predeceased by his parents, Graeme and Betty.
Ewen spent the last nine years of his life at the Lions Pioneer Village in Parksville, avidly gardening with help from his enthusiastic neighbours. Anyone who knew him is unlikely to forget him.
At his request, there will be no funeral services. Any donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
