Nov. 10, 1939 – Jan. 27, 2018
Son of Edgar and Lucy Wilson of Ontario.
Survived by: wife Joan Wilson; son Tim Wilson; daughter Kathy Wilson; grandson Steve Wilson; and his youngest sister Bernice Wilson of Ontario.
Mechanic, Machinist and Millwright, there was not a machine that Jim Wilson couldn’t fix. He worked for large companies including GE, INCO and the PPWC which took the family from coast to coast before settling down in Qualicum.
When not at work he kept busy rebuilding and customizing old VWs. With the aid of his grandson he also became a Kin’x construction master. Jim’s spare time was often spent perfecting his golf game and competing in golf tournaments. As he did not want a service, arrangements have been made to lay his ashes where he made his favorite “hole-in-one”. His daughter will be imagining his snicker as future golfers try to match his drive.
