John Robert Hendrickson

Born in Vancouver, B.C., 'Bob' as he was known to his family and friends, would spend his early years exploring the coast of BC as a "logging camp brat" with his sister Mildred 'Dee'. This would later spark a lifelong love of trolling (fishing) up and down that same coast and inlets.

Bob tried his hand at many a job, until settling on his career as a reporter. Being diligent about the truth for the public went hand in hand with teaching his children to think critically, to stand up for one's self, and to stand up for others.

Loving Father of Tekla (Roderik) and Matthew (Shona). Proud and devoted Grandad to Matana and Jorin. A faithful Uncle to the ever-growing Dimmer-Drew clan. Lifelong friend to Alan and Craig. A man to be counted on for clear-eyed advice and generous service. An anchor in the lives of his family and friends that will be dearly missed.

Cremation has taken place as per his wishes.
