It is with great sorrow that we are announcing the death of Pat Leslie at Tofino General Hospital on April 08, 2013. Pat was born in Port Alberni on October 23, 1952. He came to Ucluelet in 1978 to teach at Ucluelet Secondary School and retired after 33 years. Pat was a defender of the English language and clarity of thought. In his life he also logged and fished.
He leaves behind his wife Sandra, sons Joe (Setphanie), Arthur (Erin) and daughter Trish (Dave); four brothers, two sisters and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Pat passed away from the effects of pancreatic cancer. He did not allow it to slow down his active lifestyle until the very end. If you needed fish smoked, or wood gathered, he was determined to help. His determination to live fully and usefully is a model that his wife Sandy and children Joe, Art and Trish will follow.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2013 - 2:00 PM at the Ucluelet Community Centre.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to any children's activities in your town. Thank you so much everyone at the Ucluelet Clinic and Tofino General Hospital, for all of your great support and efforts, with a special thanks to Dr. Marshall and Dr. Killins.
