

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Crawford Scott Martin (Armstrong), born February 18th, 1932, in Larkhall, Scotland. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret, brother William (Willie), sisters Agnes, Sadie, Frances, and daughter Linda. Margaret is survived by William (Bill), her husband of 28 years, granddaughters Laura and Christine, great-grandchildren Rory and Emmy, her step children Alan, Anne, Pauline and many extended family.
Margaret was born and raised in Larkhall, Scotland. In 1953, at the age of 21, she moved to Canada, where she lived in Trail BC. In Trail, Margaret built two homes, married, and had her daughter Linda. In 1969 Margaret returned to Scotland. Margaret worked as a medical assistant while in Trail and continued similar work upon return to Scotland. Margaret met Bill in 1988, at the Popinjay in Scotland. They were married in 1995. Margaret and Bill lived in Delta, BC until moving to Qualicum in 2005. They spent their retirement years in Qualicum/Parksville area.
Margaret was a glamorous person, a very independent woman who loved to travel, cook, watch tennis and enjoyed her shows. Margaret was also an incredible knitter. Her sweaters were coveted by those who knew her.
Margaret will be missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 23rd, from 1-3pm at Bill and Margaret’s home, 1267 Roberton Blvd, in Parksville, BC.
