

Marion Tangen died peacefully in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on 01-14-205 in Nanaimo, BC at the age of 79.
Marion is survived by her ex-husband, Don Tangen of Qualicum Beach, BC; son, Ken Tangen of Las Vegas, NV; siblings, Brenda Walsh of Parksville, BC., Geoff & Kathy Carson of Weyburn, SK.
She is survived by relatives, Roger Turner of Canmore, AB. Andrea & Gary Elliott & Family of Calgary, AB. Kevin & Robin Turner & Family of Calgary, AB. Brad Turner of Vancouver, BC. Brian Glass of Weyburn, Sk. David Uhrich of Winnipeg, MB. Ken & Joy Tangen of Nanaimo, BC. Kristin Tangen- Steffins & Dean Steffins of Shawnigan Lake, BC. Darren & Nicole Tangen & Family of Rolling Hills, CA.
Marion Tangen was born on January 15th, 1946 in Ballymoney Northern Ireland to James & Jean Carson. The family immigrated to Canada in 1957 to Weyburn, SK, Marion graduated from High School in Weyburn, SK. She married Don Tangen, her high school sweetheart in 1964. After moving to Winnipeg, MB in 1970, Marion began working for the Royal Bank of Canada. After retirement from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), she moved to Oak Bay, BC where she resided the last 19 years.
Marion was a very loving Mother, Wife, Sister and friend to many, who truly cared about each and one that she came in contact with in her life. She was very active in the Oak Bay, BC community.
She was cremated at Yates / Dignity Memorial in Parksville, BC and her Urn will be in the Royal Oak Mausoleum at the Royal Oak Burial Park in Victoria, BC
There will be a celebration of life to be announced later this year.
