Marion Jean WOOD

Marion passed away at the age of 66 after a sudden illness.  She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; sisters, Jocelyn (Dave) Churchill, Kathryn Wood; sister-in-law, Cathy Wood; Aunt and Uncle, Don and Zella Norem; father-in-law, Bill Kozie; brothers-in-law, Michael Kozie and Bill (Diane) Kozie; stepsons, Steven (Michelle) and Phillip (Caroline); as well as nieces and nephews and beloved extended family and friends.  Marion was predeceased by her parents, Inez and R. Hill “Chips” Wood; brother, Brian; and mother-in-law, Pearl Kozie.

Marion was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and letter-writing friend to many.  She loved beauty, entertaining, and caring for others.  Her passion was supporting women and their education through P.E.O. projects.  Marion was an active member of P.E.O Chapter BJ, BC and a past-president of the Alberta-Saskatchewan Chapter of P.E.O. 

Christmas will always remind us of Marion for whom three trees in the house were barely enough.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Marion’s life at 11:00 am on Monday, October 24th at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road in Parksville.
