Born May 10, 1944, in Moose Jaw, Phil was the eldest of Louis and Jean Lewry's five children.
Phil and Doreen met at the Regina General Hospital where she was working as a nurse. They married Dec 24, 1965 and had three wonderful children; Pam, Paula and Chris.
Phil retired from banking in 2006 and enjoyed his hobbies and grandchildren. Phil and Doreen were frequent spectators at the Ringette/Hockey rink where the grandchildren competed and practiced. Phil had many hobbies. He created toys, fairy homes, bird houses and other projects in "Papa's Workshop". He gave them to the grandchildren and anyone else who asked for one. Phil enjoyed seeing people's reactions to his creations.
In 2011, Phil and Doreen moved to Parksville, B.C. where the weather allows for year-round outdoor fun and closer proximity to the two youngest grandchildren. He enjoyed going for walks with Doreen, their dog, and many friends. Phil had a treat for any dog that walked by and a greeting for its owner.
In lieu of flowers, Phil would like us to enjoy the outdoors, go for a walk with friends and family, tell stories and have ice cream along the way.
