Raymond was born on February 19, 1935 in Bodmin, Saskatchewan, he passed away peacefully at Ty Watson House on May 9, 2017 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Jean & Ernie Doucette, sister Florence Knoll, brothers Russell and Donald Doucette; he is survived by his loving sister Faye Domovich, brothers Harold (Dixie), Paul (Mickey), of Port Alberni; Lloyd (Wendy) of Kamloops, BC and Wayne (Sheryll) of Keremeous, BC – also many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was a proud bowler with Special Olympics for many years and 28 trophies, plus many medals and ribbons. Raymond had many challenges in his life and he never complained, always had a smile for everyone he met and was always “Oh Fine”.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Raymond’s memory to Ty Watson House – 3088 - 3rd Avenue, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 2A5.
