Sadly, we announce the passing of Sarah Joy John on April 18th, 2019. Joy was predeceased by parents, Ina and Cecil Thompson, and her brother, Gary Thompson. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ron John; brother, Ron Dobroski; nieces, Trudy Raymond, Joy Thompson (Fred Brooks), and Gary (Lynsie) Thompson; great nieces, Sara Raymond (James Garcia), Grace Thompson, Kida Thompson and Racheal Thompson; great-great nieces, Sara’s Maira & Max Garcia, and Racheal’s Shayna & Chantelle; cousin, Trent (Carol) Turner; friends, Evelyn and Dorothy.
Joy was born and raised on Vancouver Island and she spent her working years as a secretary for an optometrist. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, Royal magazines, afternoon tea, gardening, and travelling.
Joy was a wonderful, caring woman who will be dearly missed by all who love her.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
