Aspacia De Jesus Abreu

Residía en Deer Park, Texas. Aspacia será recordada como una mujer querida y amada, cuya fe firme, fortaleza serena y espíritu generoso marcaron la vida de muchos y dejaron un ejemplo perdurable de devoción y resiliencia. Desde temprana edad, Aspacia buscó formación espiritual a través de un Instituto Bíblico, cimentando sus días en una profunda reverencia a Dios y en una pasión de por vida por la Palabra y la Iglesia. Su sabiduría no solo se expresaba con palabras, sino que se vivía: se veía en la manera en que animaba a los demás, ofrecía consejo y permanecía fiel en cada etapa de la vida. Aspacia sirvió como misionera y fue reconocida por su labor comunitaria, brindando inspiración mediante un servicio constante y un corazón atento a quienes lo necesitaban. Acompañó y orientó a los jóvenes con paciencia y propósito, y como consejera de la iglesia se convirtió en una fuente confiable de guía: alguien cuya presencia aportaba estabilidad, esperanza y perspectiva. Esposa, madre y abuela dedicada, Aspacia también ocupó un lugar especial como hermana y tía querida, y como amiga de confianza. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Pastor Juan Antonio Abreu; y sus hijos, Aaron, William, Boanerges, Juan Antonio. Le sobreviven su hija, Bani Esther; su hijo, Ruben; su hija, Hilda; y sus nietas, Sara Neri-Torres, Marisela Neri-Green, Priscila Torres Fetters, Yamel Natalie Abreu y Rubi Abreu; además de 13 bisnietos y 10 tataranietos.

En el hogar, el cuidado de Aspacia se expresaba en la belleza cotidiana que creaba. Como ama de casa dedicada, encontraba alegría en la jardinería, la costura y el tejido a crochet: labores sencillas y constantes que reflejaban su corazón generoso y la dignidad que aportaba a la vida diaria.

Su fe era activa y orientada hacia los demás. Aspacia visitaba a los enfermos y a quienes no podían salir de casa, y abría su hogar para servicios semanales de oración, ofreciendo un lugar de consuelo, intercesión y ánimo. Conocida como una guerrera de oración que siempre honraba a Dios, deja un legado de fe inquebrantable y una vida que guiaba a otros hacia la esperanza.

La familia expresa su más sincero agradecimiento al personal del equipo de cuidados en el hogar—enfermeras, asistentes y capellanes—por su atención compasiva y su apoyo.

Aspacia De Jesus Abreu, age 96, was born on February 22, 1930, in La Enea, La Altagracia Province, Dominican Republic, and passed away on May 21, 2026. She resided in Deer Park, Texas. Aspacia will be remembered as a cherished and beloved woman whose steady faith, quiet strength, and generous spirit shaped the lives of many and left an enduring example of devotion and resilience.

From early in life, Aspacia pursued spiritual formation through Bible College, grounding her days in a deep reverence for God and a lifelong passion for the Word and the Church. Her wisdom was not merely spoken, but lived—seen in the way she encouraged others, offered counsel, and remained faithful through every season.

Aspacia served as a missionary and was recognized for her community work, offering inspiration through consistent service and a heart attentive to those in need. She mentored youth with patience and purpose, and as a church counselor she became a trusted source of guidance—someone whose presence brought steadiness, hope, and perspective.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Aspacia also held a special place as a beloved sister and aunt, and as a trusted friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Juan Antonio Abreu; and her sons, Aaron, William, Boanerges, Juan Antonio. She is survived by her daughter, Bani Esther; her son, Ruben; her daughter, Hilda; and her granddaughters, Sara Neri-Torres, Marisela Neri-Green, Priscila Torres Fetters, Yamel Natalie Abreu, and Rubi Abreu; as well as 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

In the home, Aspacia’s care was expressed in the everyday beauty she created. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in gardening, sewing, and crochet—simple, steady works that reflected her generous heart and the dignity she brought to daily life. Her faith was active and outward-looking. Aspacia visited the sick and homebound, and she opened her home for weekly prayer services, offering a place of comfort, intercession, and encouragement. Known as a prayer warrior who always honored God, she leaves a legacy of steadfast belief and a life that pointed others toward hope. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the homecare team—nurses, aides, and chaplains—for their compassionate care and support.
