Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Reserves. After he served his duty to his country, he came back to Pasadena to live. In 1959, he met a beautiful young lady, Margaret Moore at Hubert's Roller Rink. He was smitten with her at first sight. She didn't notice him; however, her girlfriends had. They introduced them and the rest is history. They married on April 8, 1960 in a small ceremony at Margaret's house. He held jobs throughout his years, but a few of his favorite were as a truck driver for 20 years, a Pasadena Volunteer Fire Fighter for 50 years and a Crossing Guard.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.pasadenafuneralchapel.com for the McAteer family.
