Daniel Alonzo Naranjo

Daniel A. Naranjo, age 53, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2018. He was born February 8, 1965, in Victoria, Texas to Pedro Naranjo and Lydia Alonzo. His family moved to South Florida five years later. In his mid-twenties, his family moved back to Texas where he lived in Houston, Texas and worked as a security guard before becoming employed by A & L Industrial Services where he worked for many years as a journeyman painter. His current job was working in home improvements where he found his true passion in life. He enjoyed the outdoors, visiting family in Florida, listening to classic rock, and spending quality time with family and his longtime buddies. Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart and loyalty to family and close friends.

Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Alexandra Aragus and Mandy Arriaga of Naples, Florida; seven grandchildren, Isaiah Sanchez, Yazmin Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Jordan Lee Xavier Aragus, Savannah Arriaga, Adam Arriaga, and Emma Arriaga of Naples, Florida; three sisters, Rosalinda Villarreal of Pasadena, Texas, Elizabeth Passmore of Winter Haven, Florida, Delia Guzman of Victoria, Texas, and Felicitas Naranjo of Immokalee, Florida; three brothers, Hilario Diaz of Homestead, Florida, Ismael Naranjo, and Adam Naranjo of Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Alonzo, and brother Jose Alonzo.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 21st from 10 am to 9 pm and services Saturday, September 22nd from 10 am to 12 pm at Del Angel Funeral Home, 901 Main Street, Pasadena, Texas. Graveside service will follow at approximately 12:30 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetary, 8601 Almeda Genoa Road, Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers for the service will be nephews Michael Alonzo, Jason Burciaga, Joe Lucio, Jacob Lucio; great-nephews Marcus Castillo, Nathaniel Diaz; cousin David Alonzo; and friend John Islas.

Life may be taken from the physical body, but life cannot be taken away

from the true believer, the which God promised to give him with himself

at his abode. Life really begins when called up by the Eternal God.

My body is something I live in, a container of clay–I am spirit and I live in

this body. When I die, I only rest in sleep awaiting to get caught up in the

air with the Lord and millions of His angels along with my loved ones in

the clouds. You may feel sobered and saddened at my funeral but let it

also be inspiring for death is gain! I will rise again in the resurrection and

return to earth with the Lord a conquer clothed with immortality. Death

where is your sting? Grave where is your victory? Precious in the sight of

the Eternal is the death of his Saints – what a wonderful calling. Amen
