The earth was graced with her strength and independence on the 16th of September, 1968. Her loving parents Eulalia Ramirez and Abel Ramirez helped her develop and mature into the woman she was. Graduating from Davis High School, she nurtured a son and later furthered her education at San Jacinto College. She studied Nursing, Small Business Management, and graduated with a degree. Settling down, she married Robert Rodriguez and lived a happy life in Houston, Texas while continuing to pursue her goals. Determined to help provide for her family with a better life, she moved up from a small apartment to an open, hospitable home.
Gracie didn’t posses the ability to sit around and do nothing. She adored family time, gardening, improving her home, fishing, Ebay, traveling, cooking, and gambling. She left the cooking channel on as she was honing her cooking skills for the ones she loved. Her resourcefulness gave her the ability to create miracles from the limited resources she was blessed with.
She is survived by her husband Robert Rodriguez, her son Fabian Lopez, and her adorable Yorkies, Baby and Pepper Rodriguez. She was a loving Mother, Wife, Mentor, and Student, who always wanted to better herself in some way. Her charm, humor, and clever wit were a perfect mix to her warmth, love, and selflessness.
It was a beautiful, crisp morning as the sun rose and split the clouds on the 5th of November, an enchanting treasure that signified her welcoming into Heaven.
