Henry D. Sheffield, age 84, Channelview, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Henry was born November 27, 1936. He was a loving father, husband and friend with a generous heart. He enjoyed gardening, baseball, and watching old Westerns on TV. He was a member of Dell Dale Avenue Baptist Church. Henry often used his imagination to create useful conveniences of life. Henry answered the call and served his country in the army. Some of his accomplishments are National defense service medal, Republic Vietnam campaign medal with 4 bronze service stars, Combat infantry badge, Joint service commendation medal. The 10th highest military honor for his outstanding work as supply officer. He served 2 tours in Vietnam. He has a degree in agriculture economics from University of Houston. He would say those awards were nothing. He was proud of each of his children and grandchildren and all their accomplishments.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sheffield; sister, Annie Richardson; parents, Henry and Lessie Sheffield. He is survived by his sister, Margie Fenner; 3 children, Donna Bilger and her husband Alan, Margie Adams and her husband Dennie and Robert Sheffield and his wife Tina; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremiah Fox, Chelsie Bilger, Chris Arellano and his wife Wendy, Daniel Arellano, Dalton Sheffield and his wife Kara, Brandon Sheffield, Brittany Sheffiled and Ainsley Sheffield; 4 great-grandchildren, Sabrina Arellano, Mallori Arellano, Miranda Gauman and Maci Edwards; 2 great great grandchildren, Phoenix Arellano and Dalyluh Ragan.
