

James Allen “Jim” Masters Sr., 78, of Rosharon, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2025. He was born in Wenatchee, Washington, on March 17, 1946, to Edward and Phyllis Masters. Jim was married to his beloved wife, Patsy J. Masters, for 60 wonderful years.
He had a successful career in the automotive industry as the owner of Dixie Auto Parts and Masters Towing. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1963 to 1967. A true Texan at heart, he had a deep passion for classic cars, NASCAR, road trips, and traveling, but above all, he cherished his family, especially his five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Masters, his mother, Phyllis Parsons Masters, and his sister, Marilyn Joyce Lockridge. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patsy Adams Masters, sisters, Carol Lawen and Judy Elliott, brother, Richard Masters, his daughter, Lesli Susan Masters Blackman, and son-in-law, Maury Blackman, of the Bay Area, California, his son, James Allen Masters Jr., and daughter-in-law, Maly Chea Masters, of Rosharon, Texas, and his son, Michael Edward Masters, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Sissell Masters, of Sugar Land, Texas.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy: Brooke Bailey Blackman of Santa Monica, California, Julia Lauren Masters of San Antonio, Texas, Bradley Kincaid Blackman of Tokyo, Japan, Hayden Scott Masters of Sugar Land, Texas, and Brandon Robert Masters of Sugar Land, Texas. Jim’s legacy of love, hard work, and good nature will forever be remembered by his family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service for Jim will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX.
